About Me
I’m a multimedia journalist based in West Lothian with two years’ experience reporting for Deadline News, as well as freelance work for the Scottish Daily Mail and Jam Press, and valuable experience at the Dundee Evening Telegraph. I will soon be commencing an NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism at News Associates, aiming to deepen my skills and continue creating impactful, high-quality content across multiple platforms. I'm experienced in creating both digital and on-the-ground content that blends compelling storytelling with photo and video editing skills to spotlight diverse local and national stories and social issues.
I’m passionate about making a difference through journalism that upholds integrity and shines a light on human interest, politics, travel, and lifestyle stories. I thrive on breaking news—being first to uncover a story and delivering timely, accurate coverage that keeps audiences informed and engaged. My love for reporting in the field is matched by my enthusiasm for travel and languages, which inspires my work and broadens my perspective. I’m also actively developing my photography skills to capture the essence of the stories I cover. These skills I have utilised during my solo travels and during my month travelling across Europe, to achieve my Teaching English as a First Language (TEFL). I am committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and producing journalism that informs, inspires, and connects communities.
Always eager to learn, I enjoy taking on new challenges in the ever-evolving media landscape and would love to connect.
“The idea is to write it so that people hear it and it slides through the brain and goes straight to the heart.”
